Zoom sessions offer emotional support for Marion County students and families

Students, parents and families in need of emotional support have a new resource this summer to stay connected.

Summer family support sessions, offered by school psychologists and social workers from Marion County Public Schools, provide recurring Zoom meetings that cover a host of topics including preparing for return to school, dealing with anxiety, transitioning from elementary to middle school or middle to high school, social media and much more. Students and parents also can ask questions, seek additional resources and simply connect with school-based mental health professionals.

Information about session dates and times can be found on school websites accessible at www.marionschools.net. All students and parents may participate in these meetings that foster greater summer connection when it comes to students, parents and school-based mental health professionals.
