Benjamin “Papa” Carrasquillo Jr, known to friends as “Benj,” passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
He was 30 years old. Benjamin was born in Brooklyn, New York & moved to Ocala, Florida when he was teenager. He went to Florida School for the Deaf and Blind and graduated in 2010. He was an incredible, hard-working young man. He was excited for what was ahead of him and ready to fulfill his dreams.
Ben worked throughout his young life. He worked at FedEx, Amazon, Expert Installation and Assembly Service for Almighty Labors and GoSky Operations, and Painter with Daniel Schmidt. Ben love working on cars, playing basketball, video games, feeling the blast of music beats, and spending the time with his family.
Benjamin was a dedicated father first and foremost. He treasured his children and embraced every moment with them. He had a vivacious personality and always made people around him laugh.
He is survived by his partner of 6 and half years, Joanna Marie Pena, his children Josiah Carrasquillo (5), Sebastian Carrasquillo (2), step-daughter Alianna Goss Pena (9), parents, Benjamin Carrasquillo, Sr., and Evelyn Carrasquillo, and sister, Evelyn Carrasquillo. He is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Carrasquillo.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday June 12, 2021 at Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, FL 34471.
