Classic ‘Fables’ on display in new mixed-media drawing exhibit opening this weekend

A new art exhibit that features mixed-media drawings of classic, fabled characters will open in Ocala this weekend.

“Fables,” by artist Grace Netanya, will be on display at the NOMA Gallery beginning Saturday, November 6. The exhibit will run through December 30 at the gallery, which is located at 939 North Magnolia Avenue.

The exhibit will host an open house from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, with a collection of mixed-media drawings featured.

The drawings take inspiration from classic stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Alice in Wonderland, according to a press release from the NOMA Gallery.

Portraits comprise most of the featured artwork and were created using a combination of graphite, marker, and colored pencils.
