Several OPD officers hosted festive reading event for local children

Two Ocala police officers helped bring popular Christmas stories to life during an event this past weekend.

On Saturday, December 18, Ocala Police Department Officers Rose and Woods hosted the department’s Read, Explore, and Discover (READ) program at the OPD’s Community Room located at 402 S Pine Avenue.

Both officers read stories to the children who ranged in age from 4 to 10. The children also had fun making handmade crafts.
