A road closure is planned next week on SE 11th Avenue from SE 2nd Street to SE 5th Street due to construction for the City of Ocala’s Drainage Rehabilitation Improvement Program.
The closure will take place beginning on Monday, February 14 through Friday, February 18. The project aims to reduce flooding throughout the area.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic. Construction will take place on Thursday, February 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During construction times, drivers may experience delays, noise, dust, and heavy equipment within the project area.
The following detours will be in effect:
- Southbound detour: Right turn onto SE 2nd Street, left turn onto SE 10th Avenue, left turn onto SE 5th Street, back onto SE 11th Avenue.
- Northbound detour: Left turn onto SE 5th Street, right turn onto SE 10th Avenue, right turn onto SE 2nd Street, back onto SE 11th Avenue.
