A driver was extricated following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of SW 20th Street and SW 27th Avenue on Thursday.
At around 1 p.m., Ocala Fire Rescue units (Engine 4, Rescue 4, Squad 7, Battalion Chief 11, and a Safety Officer) responded to the scene of the accident.
Upon arrival, the units found a Dodge pickup truck that had sustained moderate front-end damage and a Mitsubishi SUV with moderate damage on the driver’s side.
The SUV’s driver required extrication. OFR’s crews used specialized tools to remove both doors on the driver’s side, and the driver was pulled out of the vehicle and transported to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported. The names of the individuals involved in the accident were not released.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
