‘Field Concert’ art exhibit opens this week at Brick City Center for the Arts

A one-woman art exhibit is opening in Ocala this week.

‘Field Concert’ by artist Kay Deuben opens on Friday, March 4 with a reception at Marion Cultural Alliance’s Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW Broadway Street) from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The reception will include tapas, drinks, raffle prizes, and a chance to meet this month’s featured artist. All pieces of artwork are for sale, and a percentage of each sale will benefit the Mill Creek Farm Retirement Home for Horses in Alachua County.

Deuben currently paints in oils and pastels, and she occasionally uses watercolor or acrylics.

Her artwork is shown at Mossman Hall in Melrose, in St. Augustine with the First Coast Pastel Society, and in Central Florida with the Pastel Society of Central Florida. She has won Best in Show and other mentions in local art shows and competitions.

The exhibit will be on display until Saturday, March 26. The gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
