Delinda Kay Ringgold (Skinner) of Ocklawaha – wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend –  died April 7, 2022, at the Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, Florida, after a long battle with cancer.

Kay was born in 1947 in Malden, Missouri and moved to Marion County in the 1950’s. She graduated from Ocala High School in 1965 and worked for SunTrust until her retirement in 2002. She met the love of her in high school, Robert (Bob) Ringgold, Jr and they would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on July 3rd.

She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Ringgold, JR, her two children, Renee Ringgold Smith (Stan) of Longwood, FL, Rob Ringgold (Robyn) of Middleburg, FL and her four grandchildren Mason Smith of Longwood, FL, Hayden Smith of Tallahassee, FL, Bailey Ringgold and Brady Ringgold of Middleburg, FL. Also, her two siblings, Paula Skinner Hahn (Roger) of Lacey, WA and John Skinner (Tracy) of Ocala, FL. Kay was preceded in death by her parents T.C. and Louise Skinner of Ocala, Florida. Mrs. Ringgold was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Ocala, Florida.

Kay, along with her husband, loved their quiet life lakeside in Ocklawaha where they hosted many holiday celebrations with family and friends. Her greatest joy was family. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
