The Evergreen Cemetery is in need of volunteers for a cleanup day that will take place on Saturday, May 21.
The City of Ocala Public Works Department will host the volunteer cleanup from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, which is located at the 300 block of NW 8th Street. Volunteers will assist with cleaning headstones, raking leaves, picking up fallen tree limbs, and cleaning up debris.
The City of Ocala encourages volunteers to support the restoration and beautification of the Historical Evergreen Cemetery. Each participating volunteer is asked to follow current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
