Ocala, FL – Drexel T. Brunson, Ph.D., 68, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 7, 2022. His memorial service will be held Thursday, July 14, at 6pm at Meadowbrook Church, 4741 SW 20th St, Ocala, FL 34474. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Raised in Florida, Drexel earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities/Religion from Florida State University. He was an ordained minister by the Assemblies of God for over 40 years, pastoring several churches throughout the southeast. He served on multiple local and national boards, and helped build 19 churches throughout the world.
He was preceded in death by his father, Foye T. Brunson.
Drexel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pamala Brunson; children, Jarrod Brunson (Elizabeth) of Ocala, FL and Kellyn Denton (Trey) of Winterville, NC; mother, Sarah Brunson; brothers, Steven Brunson (Pam) and Phillip Brunson (Kim); and many extended family members. He had four grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Evelyn Brunson, Lakely, Quaid and Judah Denton.
