Adult Basketball League’s summer season tips off next month

The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department’s Adult Basketball League is returning next month for its summer season, and there is still time for players and established teams to sign up.

The league’s summer season will tip off on Wednesday, June 7 at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place (1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala), and it will run through Wednesday, July 26.

The league is open to adults (ages 18 and up), and it offers full-court, 5-on-5 play with referees, stat tracking, and a scorekeeper in attendance at each game. On Wednesday evenings throughout the season, games will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

After competing in regular season games, all teams will qualify for a single elimination playoff at the end. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams.

Registration will remain open through Thursday, May 18, and there is a cost of $350 per team to participate.

For more information, or to register, visit the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department website.
