Trinity Catholic High School’s Dean to become new Athletic Director

The Dean of Students at Trinity Catholic High School will soon transition into the role of Athletic Director.

Young is completing his fifth year at Trinity Catholic. During his time at the school, he has taught Social Studies, served as the Head Softball Coach, and he added the Dean of Students role to his list of responsibilities this past year.

“Mike has done an admirable job as our dean, albeit a short stay in that position, and he will be greatly missed in the classroom,” stated Pereira. “We anticipate the gifts that Mike will bring to this new role with great enthusiasm.”

Young has over 25 years of teaching and coaching experience, and he will become the third Athletic Director in Trinity Catholic’s history. Tommy Bond served in this role for 15 years until his retirement last month, and he was preceded by Gary Belger.

The athletic program at Trinity Catholic competes in 25 different sports, including football, cheerleading, cross country, golf, swimming, tennis, weight lifting, basketball, volleyball, baseball, bowling, girls flag football, softball, lacrosse, and track and field.
