Pressure washing to cause sidewalk closures in Downtown Ocala

Due to scheduled pressure washing, pedestrians in Ocala can expect temporary sidewalk closures in the downtown area beginning on Sunday, July 16 through Tuesday, July 18.

According to the City of Ocala, sidewalks will be closed between Silver Springs Boulevard and SE/SW 2nd Street, as well as between SE Osceola Avenue and SW 2nd Avenue. These closures will be in effect between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., and the sidewalks are scheduled to reopen on Tuesday morning.

During the nightly closures, sidewalks will undergo extensive cleaning. There will be no street closures and on-street parking will not be impacted. Signs and barriers will also be in place to notify pedestrians of the closures.
