Ocala seeks volunteers to serve on boards, advisory committees

The City of Ocala is currently seeking volunteers to fill vacancies across committee and advisory board positions within the city government.

The Ocala City Council appoints individuals to serve on over 20 boards, advisory committees, and commissions. These volunteers come from all across Ocala, and they help influence decisions that affect the city by providing advice and feedback to the city’s leaders and council members.

The term length for positions varies by the committee or advisory board. Many of the boards have requirements, such as residing within the city limits, being a qualified city voter, or owning real property within the city limits. These requirements are detailed on the ‘retirement system boards‘ and ‘all other boards‘ online applications.

The current vacancies can be viewed on the City of Ocala boards and commissions webpage, and the deadline to submit an application is on Thursday, August 10.

For more information, contact the Office of the City Clerk via phone (352-629-8266) or email (clerk@ocalafl.org).
