U.S. Senator Rick Scott will make a stop in Ocala this week as part of his 67 Counties Tour throughout the state of Florida.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 10, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. It will be hosted by Ocala Mayor Kent Guinn and Danny Gaekwad, a Florida business magnate who sits on the board of trustees for the University of Central Florida.

No location was provided on the event, but anyone interested in attending may get additional details by emailing RSVP@teamrickscott.com.
In February, Scott began traveling to the state’s 67 counties to meet with Floridians ahead of his re-election campaign for the Senate in 2024.
During the tour, Scott will meet with voters in every Florida county “about how he can continue to fight for them in Washington,” according to a statement issued by the campaign.
