The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 39-year-old Kelly Nicole Thomas

According to Sheriff Woods, Thomas was helping a friend clean up their yard when she spotted the trailer. She then remarked that she could “easily sell it for $5,000.”

Later that night, Thomas allegedly returned to the yard with two other individuals and stole the trailer. Sheriff Woods stated that someone saw Thomas commit the theft and was able to identify her.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office detectives attempted to reach Thomas to discuss this case, but Sheriff Woods stated that she keeps stalling. As a result, a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

“Kelly, it’s time to be an adult and turn yourself in,” stated Sheriff Woods. “I can promise you that when my citizens see you, they won’t stall, and they will turn you in quickly. No one likes theft.”

If you have any information on Thomas’ whereabouts, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office asks that you call the Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP (7867) and reference 23-46 in your tip. If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
