New steakhouse replacing former Wagyu beef spot in west Ocala

A new steakhouse will replace a Wagyu beef restaurant in west Ocala that closed its doors over a year and a half ago.

Remington’s Prime Steakhouse will take over the former location of The Blue Wagyu, which closed its doors at 6998 N U.S. Hwy 27 in January 2022.

Located within the Golden Hills Shopping Center in west Ocala, Remington’s has been renovating the space for the past several months. It is located next door to The Juniper Store, which opened its doors in 2021.

According to state records, the new business is owned by Cindi Nicholson, who is a former managing partner at Mark’s Prime Steakhouse. The business also lists Thad Boyd as an authorized member of the organization.
