A cheesecake maker that has made a name for himself over the last several years through pop-ups all over Ocala and Marion County has opened his first brick-and-mortar location in the area.
J Marie Brands will celebrate is grand opening at 3420 NE Jacksonville Road in Ocala on Saturday, September 2, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Owned and operated by Seanree Lesesne, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, the business has been selling cheesecakes for nearly six years throughout the local area.
Lesesne says he has been working on preparing the new location for over a year, having signed the lease last September. In March, Lesesne established a GoFundMe to help with the associated costs of expanding the business.
With its wide array of varieties, J Marie Brands may have the largest selection of cheesecake flavors of any business in the county.
The menu features a multitude of creative flavor concoctions by Lesesne, including red velvet, funfetti, apple pie, Mounds, and strawberry shortcake variations.
In addition to the popups and brick-and-mortar location, J Marie Brands sells cheesecakes through its website, JMarieBrands.com.
