Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company clarified the address of its new card room with city officials this week.
On Tuesday, Ocala City Council members passed a resolution clarifying the address of the new Ocala Bets card room as 1781 SW 60th Avenue.
According to city records, OBS had a petition with the Florida Gaming Control Commission for a license. That petition was scheduled for hearing on September 7.
Ocala-News.com has not yet confirmed the results of that hearing.
The resolution clarifies the original resolution adopted in 2019, which allowed for the operation of a cardroom on the OBS property. The company lists its business as having “situs” at multiple addresses along the roadway, including 1171, 1201, 1211, 1701, and 1781 SW 60th Avenue.
Although no date has been specified, Ocala Bets is currently working on new card room at 1781 SW 60th Avenue. The card room is currently in the midst of hiring and training dealers and staff.
When Ocala Bets opens, the full-service card room will feature games like Ultimate Texas Hold ’em, 3-card poker, Face Up Pai Gow, and DJ Wild, among others. The facility will also feature intertrack wagering.
