MCSO: Two wanted for burglarizing boats, stealing over $1,000 worth of items

Marion County deputies are looking for two individuals who allegedly burglarized several boats at a local marina and stole over $1,000 worth of items.

On September 4, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., two male suspects burglarized five boats at Salt Springs Run Marina located at 25711 NE 134th Place in Salt Springs, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

MCSO stated that during the burglaries, the two suspects stole a variety of speakers, amps, radios, and an air compressor. The victims advised that the total value of the stolen items was approximately $1,200.

In a social media post on Tuesday, September 26, MCSO shared several photos of the suspects (see below). “One of the men was wearing a sweatshirt with the hood pulled up concealing his face, but we believe the other suspect should be easily identifiable!” stated the sheriff’s office.
