The Ocala Police Department’s annual Cops and Cars Show will return this weekend for its fifth installment.
The family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at OPD headquarters, which is located at 402 S Pine Avenue in Ocala.
The show will feature dozens of classic cars, as well as classic police and emergency vehicles. In addition, there will be plenty of food trucks, vendors, music, and more.
Anyone wanting to take part in the car show should contact Amanda Cummings via email at: acummings@ocalapd.gov. There is a $25 cash fee for participants, and a completed registration form must be submitted in person at OPD headquarters.Â
According to the police department, there is a 110-vehicle limit for the car show, and no vehicles will be admitted after 9:45 a.m. on the day of the event.
A total of 25 trophies will be awarded to car show participants across multiple categories, including Top Cars (1-20), Club Participation, People’s Choice, Most Likely to Get a Ticket, Chief’s Choice, and Best of Show.
Admission to the event is free for spectators.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation, which was established in honor of the City of Ocala’s late police chief who was killed in a plane crash in 2020.
