‘Winter Replant Day’ at Ocala Wellness Community Garden on October 21

The Ocala Wellness Community Garden will host its winter replant day on Saturday, October 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The free gardening event will be held at the Ocala Wellness Community Garden, which is located at 2233 W Silver Springs Boulevard. During the two-hour event, participants will replant the garden with cool season veggies while tidying up the garden area.

Garden plots are available for $10 a year. This fee includes a raised garden for planting, soil, access to water and irrigation, gardening tools, and starter seeds which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition, the community garden hosts group workdays and other special events that offer gardening tips and recipe ideas for fresh produce.

The Ocala Wellness Community Garden is a joint partnership between the City of Ocala, Florida Department of Health in Marion County, Feed the Need Garden, and Marion County Hospital District.
