Due to utility installation, a road closure will be in effect on SW 38th Avenue, from SW 20th Street to SW 22nd Street, beginning on Monday, October 30 through Monday, November 6.
According to the City of Ocala, this construction project includes the installation of a gravity sewer main and manhole covers.
The following detour routes will be in effect on October 30 through November 6:
- Southbound traffic on SW 38th Avenue will be detoured west onto SW 60th Avenue. Motorists will then head south on SW 60th Avenue to State Road 200, east on State Road 200 back to SW 38th Avenue, and north on SW 38th Avenue.
- Northbound traffic on SW 38th Avenue will be directed around the construction area on the shoulder of the road.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic in the area. Construction will take place on weekdays (Monday through Friday), from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. During construction times, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust, and heavy equipment within the project area.
