The City of Ocala Cultural Arts Division is looking for artists to take part in a juried chalk art competition that will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During the first annual O-Trak Chalk Walk, which will be held at Tuscawilla Art Park (213 NE 5th Street in Ocala), participating artists will create unique chalk drawings along the O-Trak pathway.

The theme of the January 27th competition is “O, The Places We’ll Go.”

A cash prize, in the amount of $500, will be awarded to the artist who finishes in first place. In addition, the artist who finishes in second place and the People’s Choice Award winner will both receive a $250 prize.

This competition is open to artists currently working and residing in the state of Florida.

There is no cost to apply and applications are available online. Entries can be submitted via email (artinfo@ocalafl.gov) or mail (City of Ocala Cultural Arts, 201 SE 3rd Street, 2nd floor, Ocala, FL 34471).
