Sewer extension project to cause road closure on SW 38th Avenue in Ocala

Ocala motorists can expect a temporary road closure in the southbound lane of SW 38th Avenue, from SW 20th Street to SW 22nd Street, beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16.

According to the Marion County Office of the County Engineer, Miller Pipeline LLC will be working for the City of Ocala to pave the southbound lane of SW 38th Avenue as part of the Meadow Oaks Sewer Extension project.

Miller Pipeline’s equipment and personnel will be in the county right-of-way. Crews will place barricades and signs to detour traffic around the work zones. Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

The temporary road closure on SW 38th Avenue is expected to remain in effect through 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 18. Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
