John Wesley Coe, a 51-year-old registered sex offender from Ocala, is wanted by law enforcement for moving without notifying the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

In 2010, Coe was convicted in Marion County of sexual battery while armed. As a result of his conviction, Coe is supposed to register his home address with MCSO. In the event that he moves, he must notify the sheriff’s office within 48 hours.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods stated that deputies recently went to check the address on file for Coe. When the deputies arrived at the home, they discovered that Coe was not there.

“This isn’t the first time John hasn’t complied with his registration requirements,” stated Sheriff Woods. “We need your help getting this sex offender off the streets, into my jail, and back to prison where he belongs.”

If you have any information on John Wesley Coe’s whereabouts, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office asks that you call the Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP(7867), and be sure to reference 24-09 in your tip.

If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
