The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has officially opened its first location in Ocala.
The new restaurant officially opened its doors at 4414 SW College Road, Suite #316, this week. It is located within the Market Street at Heath Brook shopping plaza, in the former location of Pie-O-Mine, which closed in October 2023.
The restaurant is currently offering customers the opportunity to win free gyros for a year. It is open seven days a week, from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
There are around five dozen of the restaurants scattered throughout the nation. That includes 13 Great Greek Mediterranean Grill restaurants in the state of Florida, with another on the way in Stuart.
The restaurant’s menu is filled with traditional Greek dishes, including tzatziki, hummus, dolmades, and spanakopita, which is a spinach and feta cheese puff pastry.
In addition to the Greek restaurant, over the past five years, Market Street at Heath Brook has seen the addition of Crumbl, which is next door to Great Greek, as well as Eggs Up Grill, Shuckin’ Shack, Zuzu Ramen, and Pigtails and Crewcuts,
