A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy was called Monday to investigate a theft at the BP Ritz Food Mart in Ocala.
The deputy was told that nine propane tanks, valued at $414, were stolen, making the crime a retail grand theft. A clerk at the store, located at 4390 N. U.S. Highway 441, said the padlock on the cage where the tanks were stored was cut.
