A 67-year-old Ocala man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Marion County on Sunday night.
The man, who was pushing his bicycle and attempting to cross NW 110th Avenue near the intersection of NW 5th Street, was hit by a dark-colored, possibly blue Ford F-150 pickup truck just after 9 p.m., a witness at the scene told the Florida Highway Patrol. The man was thrown into the northbound lane of NW 110th Avenue and was later pronounced dead at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the truck, which has damage to the headlight assembly from the collision, continued traveling south on NW 110th Avenue before making a left turn onto State Road 40 and heading east, a witness reported.
