Marion County sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in identifying a bandit who committed two armed robberies recently.
The first robbery took place on Saturday, April 20 at Terrace Liquors on Marion Oaks Boulevard. The following day, a person wearing the same clothing robbed the Dollar General store on Marion Oaks Manor.
Sheriff’s officials are hoping video surveillance footage, posted above, will help someone identify the suspect. While the thief’s face can’t be seen, deputies are hoping his clothing or the way the way he walks will help someone recognize him and come forward, a sheriff’s office report states.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the two robberies is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (352) 732-9111. Those wishing to make anonymous tips can call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352) 368-STOP (7867). Tips also can be submitted at www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.
