A Citra man called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy for help Sunday after receiving suspicious text messages.
A deputy met with the man, who lives on NE 42nd Court, who said he had received a series of threatening texts from a phone number he didn’t recognize. The man said the messages stated how he and his female friend were going to get hurt, a sheriff’s office report states.
The deputy provided the man with a card and asked him to call the sheriff’s office if he found out any additional information about the texts, the report says.
