26-year-old Ocala man jailed after 16-year-old girl claims ongoing sexual relationship

A 26-year-old Ocala man is behind bars after a juvenile claimed to have had a sexual relationship with him.

Bryan Vazquez-Rodriguez, who lives at 58 Walnut Run 4, was arrested Thursday night after a 16-year-old girl told her mother that she had been in a consensual relationship with him from May-August 2018, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report states.

The girl claimed that Vazquez-Rodriguez, who was 25 at the time, knew she was 16 and told her that he could “get in trouble” if anyone found out about their relationship, the report says.

The girl claimed that she and Vazquez-Rodriguez engaged in oral sex on multiple occasions and he once penetrated her with his middle finger while they were kissing. She recalled an incident in Vazquez-Rodriguez’s red Honda Accord when she gave him oral sex while they were driving to a family member’s house in Silver Springs Shores. And she said that Vazquez-Rodriguez once performed oral sex on her while they were parked on a dead-end street, the report states.

The girl also claimed that she and Vazquez-Rodriguez engaged in “sexting.” And she said they exchanged nude photos of each other, the report says.

The girl’s mother told deputies that her family met Vazquez-Rodriguez about one week before Mother’s Day in May 2018. She said he would “come over all the time and hang out for family events” until sometime in October. And she said she noticed that Vazquez-Rodriguez seemed to “take an interest” in her daughter and the way the two interacted with each other “made her keep a closer eye on them,” the report says.

When deputies spoke with Vazquez-Rodriguez, he initially denied the allegations. He said he had been texting with the girl and she was talking him through “tough times” with his separated girlfriend. But he claimed they were never alone and never exchanged any “nude or inappropriate” photos with each other, the report says.

Vazquez-Rodriguez also told deputies that he was good friends with the girl’s father and brother. He admitted that he thought she was “attractive” and that they talked about having sex with each other. And he said he believed the girl was attracted to him as well, the report says.

Vazquez-Rodriguez then allegedly admitted that he lied and said he exchanged 1-4 sexually related photos back and forth with the girl on different occasions. He denied any physical contact except hugging, but then changed his story and admitted to exchanging oral sex with the girl one on occasion at a home that was under construction, the report says.

Vazquez-Rodriguez was then taken into custody, booked into the Marion County Jail and charged sexual assault on a victim 16 or 17 years of age. He was released early Friday morning on $5,000 bond and his next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
