Alleged Ocala prostitute jailed after man claims she robbed him of $100

Andeana Kalila Smith

An Ocala woman found herself behind bars last week after a man claimed he called her for sex and she robbed him.

The man told Marion County sheriff’s deputies that he had been in contact with a prostitute that he had solicited via a text message. He said she agreed to meet him at his house to exchange money for sex, a sheriff’s office report states.

The man said the woman, later identified as 30-year-old Andeana Kalila Smith, arrived in a blue four-door vehicle with two men in the front seat. He said Smith got out of the back seat of the vehicle and told him that she needed to pay her friend for driving her to his house.

The man said he took $100 in cash out of his pocket and attempted to take a $20 bill out of the stack of money to give to Smith. But she grabbed the $100 out of the man’s hands, got back inside the vehicle and the driver sped away from the residence, the report says.

The man described Smith to deputies but said he didn’t know her name. He did have her phone number and a photo that he showed deputies. After an investigation, deputies were able to determine that the woman was Smith and she was arrested at her home at 9 Almond Pass.

The man positively identified Smith as the woman who stole his money and she was charged with robbery by snatching without a firearm or weapon. She was released Wednesday night on $5,000 bond and is due in court May 19 at 9 a.m.
