Ocala man arrested after fight while visiting child

Sean Lesesne

An Ocala man was arrested after he allegedly shoved a woman and damaged a door during a scuffle that occurred while he was visiting his child.

Sean Lesesne, 30, of 1720 NW 38th Ave. #55, was charged with burglary with domestic assault or battery and criminal mischief with damage of less than $200.

The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy that she and Lesesne had an agreement for him to spend time with the child in her front yard. She said she told Lesesne he was not allowed to go inside her residence. The victim said Lesesne has never lived there, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said Lesesne was holding the child when she noticed the child had a runny nose. She said she asked Lesesne to wipe the child’s nose and he started yelling for her to get a baby wipe. The victim said Lesesne then entered her residence without her permission, the report said.

The victim said the child started crying and she tried to grab the child from Lesesne, who pushed her away with his right arm. She said wasn’t injured and didn’t have any marks. The victim said Lesesne eventually gave the child back to her and left through the front door, according to the report.

The victim said she saw Lesesne turn around in the front yard and she immediately closed and locked. She said right after she shut the door, she heard Lesesne strike the door, causing damage to the frame. The deputy observed extensive damage to the victim’s wooden door frame and connecting interior drywall. The victim estimated the damage at around $200, the report said.

Two witnesses who were present during the incident corroborated the victim’s story, according to the report.

Interviewed at his residence, Lesesne said he has been allowed in the victim’s residence in the past and went inside to get a baby wipe. He said while he was inside, the victim tried to grab the child and he nudged his shoulder in the victim’s direction, although he was unsure if he touched her, the report said.

Lesesne said he did hit the victim’s door, but he denied hitting it with any force. He said the door wasn’t damaged when he left, according to the report.

Lesesne was released Thursday on $1,000 bond and will appear in Marion County Court on July 14.
