Dunnellon man jailed after drunken domestic spat

Walter Peter Paciorek III

A 60-year-old Dunnellon man spent a night in jail after a woman claimed he kicked her out of bed during a drunken domestic spat.

The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy she was sleeping in her chair Monday night when Walter Peter Paciorek III came and woke her up and wanted her to come to bed. The deputy observed the victim was visibly intoxicated, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said she went into the bedroom and got in bed with Paciorek, and he started “bitching” at her. She said they started to argue and Paciorek put his feet on her lower back area and kicked her out of the bed. The victim said she called law enforcement at that point. She did not have any marks or injuries from the incident, the report said.

Paciorek said the victim had been sleeping in her chair in the living area and he woke her up to come to bed. He said the victim came into the bedroom and started to “freak out” on him, saying she was calling the police, according to the report.

Paciorek later said the victim hit him multiple times on the left side of his face, chest and back. He denied kicking her out of the bed. The deputy did not observe any marks or injuries on Paciorek, who also appeared to be intoxicated, the report said.

The deputy gave both Paciorek and the victim multiple opportunities to separate for the night but they both refused. Paciorek was placed under arrested due to a well-founded fear that more violence would occur if he and the victim weren’t separated, according to the report.

Paciorek was charged with simple domestic battery and taken to the Marion County Jail, where he was released the next day on his own recognizance. He will appear in Marion County Court on Jan. 20.
