Marion sheriff thanks residents for help and seeks 8 on-the-run suspects

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods is offering a heartfelt thanks to area residents for helping his agency nab suspects who have been featured on his regular “Wanted by Woods Wednesday” Facebook segment – but he’s still looking for eight suspected criminals who remain on the run.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods is thanking area residents for their help in catching 84 suspects who have been featured on his “Wanted by Woods Wednesday” Facebook segment. He’s also seeking continued assistance in catching eight others that remain on the run.

Woods said that since January 2020, the sheriff’s office has posted 92 people who were wanted on its Facebook page. Since that time, 84 have been arrested.

“We can’t thank you all enough for the help you give us to get criminals off the streets of Marion County,” the sheriff said.

Woods said his agency is still looking for the eight who haven’t yet been taken into custody. They are:

  • RICHARD WOOL: Wanted for three counts of capital sex battery on a young girl;
  • JAVORISE WATKINS: Wanted for robbery and grand theft;
  • TODD CORTEZ GILLINGS: Wanted for two counts of battery, criminal mischief and violating probation on a trespassing charge;
  • GINO CARBALLO: Wanted for lewd and lascivious molestation of a girl under the age of 12;
  • JONTRELLE LITVON BELL: Wanted on warrants for felony battery and violation of probation;
  • JOHNTAVIS COLEMAN: Wanted for a warrant on contempt of court and to provide information on a homicide involving a child;
  • DERRICK ALANDIS HUDSON: Wanted for two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and
  • ERNEST T. MORRIS JR.: Wanted for battery by strangulation and three counts of battery.
