Detectives with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information from the public in regards to a homicide investigation in Marion Oaks.
Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 15500 block of SW 46th Circle in Ocala, in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, they located the victim, 21-year-old Briell Alexander Vickers, deceased in a vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound.
Detectives with the Major Crimes unit responded to the scene and initiated the homicide investigation.
At this time, detectives are looking for persons of interest who may have information about the incident.
