A new exhibit is open at Ocala’s Discovery Center.
Ready Set Go, opened to the public last month and will be on display through September 25. The new exhibit explores the many modes of transportation that move people and goods around the world.
There are hands-on stations and activities including a toy engine auto-garage where children can learn about auto mechanic skills, a kid-sized drag race strip with foot powered mini cars, hands on model train area, a working traffic light, and more.
In October, the center will host an exhibit on arthropods that will feature information about butterflies, bees, beetles, tarantulas, and additional animals that make up the world of arthropods. The exhibit will allow visitors to meet live insects, among other activities.
The Discovery Center is located at 701 NE Sanchez Ave. The current exhibit is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
