On Tuesday, Ocala City Council members approved the sale of beer and wine for off-premises consumption at the 7-Eleven located at 2655 SW 42nd Street, within the Grand Oaks Town Center.

The business, which is located across the street from Trinity Catholic High School, previously received approval from the Ocala City Council on August 3, 2021. That approval expired on May 23, 2022.

Location permits approved by the Ocala City Council are initially provisional for a period of one year. They may be extended for an additional six months by an applicant.

The convenience store joins several other 7-Elevens that are in various stages of planning and construction across Ocala, including one at 2590 SE Maricamp Road, and others that have opened in the past two years.
