‘Peeping Tom’ wanted by deputies after targeting Ocala neighborhood

Marion County deputies are searching for a 24-year-old peeping Tom who targeted a northeast Ocala neighborhood last week.

On Wednesday, October 25, at around 5 a.m., Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3700 block of NE 18th Avenue in Ocala in reference to a suspicious individual in the area. Upon arrival, deputies observed a man, identified as Curtavious Brown, peering into the window of a home, according to MCSO.

In a social media post, the sheriff’s office stated that after deputies made contact with Brown, he “continued to behave suspiciously” before fleeing on foot.

MCSO conducted a search of the area, but deputies were unable to locate Brown. The deputies spoke with witnesses who advised that Brown was “ringing doorbells, looking into windows, and loitering in the area” prior to the arrival of law enforcement, according to the sheriff’s office.

In addition to this incident, MCSO states that Brown has multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest in connection with other unrelated crimes.

If you have any information about Brown’s whereabouts, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office asks that you call 352-732-9111.
