Estate built by founders of WEC sells for $4.1 million near Ocala

A 23-acre property just north of Ocala that features a 5,500 square-foot, 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom estate built by the founders of the World Equestrian Center just sold for over four million dollars.

According to Marion County property records, the 23.57-acre property located at 12385 NW Hwy 225a in Reddick sold for $4,115,000 on February 12.

Located along “Millionaire’s Row,” the property was developed in 1998 by the Roberts Development Corporation, which was founded by the late Ralph L. “Larry” Roberts, Sr. Property records show that the home was purchased by the son of the late businessman, Roby L. Roberts, and his wife, Jennifer.

The corporation is the same group behind some of the largest developments in Ocala, including the Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club and the World Equestrian Center.

The property itself features several buildings in addition to the main home.

Those buildings include a guest house, a multi-car garage, a barn and apartment, an arena, and a round pen.

The facility also doubles as an equine training facility, with up to 22 stalls, including two grooming stalls, as well as a feed room, tack room with 1/2 bath, and nearly a dozen large, grass paddocks.

The main house features a large living room, an oversized kitchen with a sub-zero refrigerator and Wolf appliances, a gym, and several other upgraded amenities and rooms.
