New 390-room hotel open at World Equestrian Center

A new, 390-room hotel that features expansive, upscale accommodations including an outdoor pool, splash pad, and gourmet market has opened for business at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.

The Riding Academy Hotel officially opened its doors last week at WEC, just in time to take guests for the League of Nations this week.

The new hotel features 390 “upscale studios” that are pet-friendly. The hallways are adorned with “charming artwork” and custom furniture, and approximately 250 suites are available to accommodate families and teams, according to the organization.

“We are all celebrating this opening as a major milestone for the property,” said Justin Garner, Senior Director of Hospitality Operations at World Equestrian Center, in a statement issued last week. “The Riding Academy Hotel will join The Equestrian Hotel to offer guests yet another world-class hospitality experience at WEC. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome guests this week.”

The hotel also features an outdoor pool with a splash pad, as well as a large courtyard sundeck with a stone fireplace and performance space that the company says will host live music.

Additional amenities include The Tack Room, which is a gourmet lobby marketplace, as well as an upscale reading room and dual, state-of-the-art fitness centers.

Rooms will feature multiple in-room amenities including coffee makers, refrigerators, and pull-out sofa sleeper beds.

In addition to the hotel, the World Equestrian Center is currently working on a slew of additional projects for the facility, which is located at 1750 NW 80th Avenue in west Ocala.
