Chinese lifestyle brand opening new location in Ocala

A Chinese brand that specializes in plush toys, clothes, and hundreds of other “lifestyle” products is working on its first location in Ocala.

Miniso is currently building out a new spot at the Paddock Mall.

Known for its large variety of products, Miniso bills itself as a vendor of “high quality household goods.”

Among the hundreds of products that it sells are a variety of licensed properties, including Care Bares, Barbie, and Peanuts merchandise, among others.

The company was founded by Jack Ye, who gained inspiration during a family vacation to Japan when he encountered “good quality, well designed, and inexpensive products” that were mostly manufactured in China.

In the years since its founding, the company has grown rapidly. The new location in Ocala is the first in Marion County, but not in Central Florida.

Miniso opened its 100th store in the United States in Orlando last year. 

The company operates dozens of locations across the United States, many of which are located in California. 

In total, there are over 5,500 Miniso locations across 100 countries and regions in the world.

The Paddock Mall continues to see new vendors join its ranks. Last month, the mall welcomed Florida Fishin’ Apparel, a Florida-based company that sells local apparel brands.

Earlier this year, Windsor opened a new location at the mall and last year, Torrid opened a location. Both of those companies sell women’s apparel.
