A Chinese restaurant in Belleview was forced to close its doors this past week after the facility failed a food health inspection.
China Max, which is located at 10345 SE U.S. Highway 441, was forced to temporarily close on Friday, July 9, by a health inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Among the six violations cited, the two high priority violations included rodent activity and raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. According to the report, the food storage violation was a repeat violation and required an administrative complaint.
One of the intermediate violations showed that the restaurant did not submit a plan review for renovations, which the report indicated were “in progress.”
