The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released video of a white van in connection with a suspicious incident involving a teenage girl.
On Tuesday, August 24, MCSO was notified of an incident that took place at 5 p.m. at a Dunnellon bus stop near SW 136th Court and SW 114th Place. According to police, a while male and a Hispanic male told a 12-year-old girl to approach their white work van as she was leaving her bus stop.
The sheriff’s office was able to obtain the footage from the inside of the 12-year-old’s school bus. The video depicts the time shortly after the incident occurred, when the student ran back to her bus. The sheriff’s office is asking the public for help in identifying the van and potential suspects in the following video.
The van can be seen passing the bus on the right side of the screen.
Deputies continue to monitor the area and search for the van.
